Content Drop for week ending 6/26/2022
After taking a bit more than a year off from writing these things I am trying to get back into the swing of writing these things. Here's some stuff I found interesting this week:
Podcasts
No Nonsense Agile Podcast - Working with offshore teams - really enjoyed his conversation around best practices of dealing with offshore teams.
No Nonsense Agile Podcast - Lean Software Development: Conversation with Mary and Tom Poppendick - Really good conversation with Mary and Tom about Lean software. Lots of good stuff but a key takeaway for me was around remembering that difference between efficiency and effectiveness and that while we can be efficient we may not always be efficient.
Blog posts
I really like this overview of Continuous Delivery by Dave Farley as he really nails the difference between Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment. It gets a bit technical in parts but it really ties in how these practices are necessary parts of agile and product.
Technical deep dive into how CloudFlare uses lava lamps to generate random numbers for their cryptographic keys
Cheap shots at SAFe are easy but this one is pretty good.
Here are few ideas of doing agile in a remote environment. Not sure I love how they call agile a methodology but the rest of the list is solid.
